Animal husbandry
The direction of beef cattle breeding in Atameken-Agro JSC dates back to 2012, when the first breeding stock was imported from the USA, Ireland and Russia (Hereford breeds and Aberdeen Angus). The imported thousand heads grew to a herd of five thousand in total on 9 farms of the agricultural holding. We are a reliable and well-established supplier of breeding bulls for breeding in all regions of Kazakhstan, as well as an exporter to neighboring countries.
The extensive pastures of Atameken-Agro JSC for free grazing of livestock, its own feed obtained 100% from crop production, the use of modern management methods - all this allows the livestock sector to develop and achieve sustainable results. In particular, such resources make it possible to influence the cost of the resulting offspring.
The strategic goal of our agricultural holding's animal husbandry is to increase the number of livestock to 10,000 heads by 2028. We implement it as follows:
- we are improving the breeding and genetic potential, selecting the best representatives of breeds for reproduction;
- we use artificial insemination technologies to maintain high-quality genetic diversity;
- we introduce advanced methods of keeping cattle on existing and new farms, we attract foreign experts (Canada, Ukraine and others);
- we train and improve the qualifications of personnel.
