Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov Visits the Dairy Farm of Atameken-Agro-Korneevka
As part of his working trip to the North Kazakhstan Region, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov reviewed the implementation of the President’s instructions aimed at developing the agro-industrial sector, increasing agricultural productivity, and expanding the processing of domestic products. Among the facilities visited was the digital dairy farm of Atameken-Agro-Korneevka.
Today, the North Kazakhstan Region ranks first among organized agricultural enterprises in milk production and accounts for approximately one-sixth of the country’s total milk processing volume.
During his visit to the village of Korneevka in the Esil District, Olzhas Bektenov familiarized himself with the operations of the modern digital dairy farm of Atameken-Agro-Korneevka LLP. The company’s Director, Alexander Fadeev, reported that the farm houses 2,500 head of dairy cattle, including more than 1,300 dairy cows. The Holstein-Friesian herd was imported from Hungary, Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands. The first 300 animals imported from Germany and adapted to Kazakhstan’s winter conditions will be supplied to domestic agricultural producers this autumn.
Marat Tasmaganbetov, First Deputy Akim of the North Kazakhstan Region, reported on the implementation of the Comprehensive Livestock Development Plan. The region currently operates 118 dairy farms and 9 poultry farms, including 6 egg-production facilities with a combined capacity exceeding 600 million eggs per year. At the end of 2025, gross livestock production reached KZT 208 billion, representing a 6% increase. Meat production totaled 82 thousand tons, milk production reached 382 thousand tons, and egg production amounted to 631 million units.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the Head of State pays special attention to measures supporting farmers. The development of dairy farms is fully aligned with the President’s objective of increasing the share of processed agricultural products to 70%. The implementation of such projects strengthens the country’s food security, expands the raw material base for processing industries, and creates stable employment opportunities in rural areas.
“On the instruction of the President, large-scale support has been provided to the agricultural sector for the third consecutive year. This year, total financing for crop and livestock production has reached KZT 1.2 trillion. We can already see the results: the past two years have delivered strong harvests. Our grain is exported to 70 countries worldwide, and Kazakhstan is among the world’s top ten grain exporters. This is the result of the policy pursued by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who pays close attention to the development of the sector, as well as the daily hard work of our farmers. We will continue this work,” Olzhas Bektenov emphasized.
