Atameken-Agro Participated in the 5th International FOC 2026: Fats and Oils Conference
The conference brought together Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yermek Kenzhekhanuly, Vice Minister of Agriculture, Asset Nusupov, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration, as well as representatives of export credit agencies, the National Association of Oilseed Processors, the International Trade Centre, the Kazakhstan Seed Growers Association, and international industry experts.
The event was organized by the National Association of Oilseed Processors with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and QazTrade.
More than 350 delegates from 18 countries gathered to discuss key market trends, systemic challenges, and future developments shaping the agricultural sector and international trade.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin noted that over the past four years, foreign currency revenues from exports of Kazakhstan’s fats and oils products have increased fourfold, rising from USD 240 million to USD 963 million. Production reached a record 1.57 million tonnes, while the industry’s share in exports of processed agricultural products amounted to 27%.
“Our goal is to increase the industry’s annual export revenue to more than USD 1.5 billion, strengthen Kazakhstan’s position among the world’s leading sunflower oil exporters, and create the foundation for entering the global top three,” said Serik Zhumangarin.
“Events like these are especially valuable because they provide an opportunity for face-to-face communication with partners and potential buyers. During our meetings, we discuss new cooperation opportunities, exchange market insights, and assess industry prospects. This helps us better understand global trends in the fats and oils market, crop outlooks, and support measures that may influence the future development of agribusiness,” noted Sairam Khodzhamberdiyev, Head of Sales at Atameken-Agro JSC.
